A full moon accompanied the trip north. Overnight travel brings us to Cumbria once more this campervan morning. As if to continue the ongoing trend it’s raining, pretty torrential actually. Everywhere is floods and puddles. The roof just awash with noise. The view is sheets of rain washing past the windscreen, running down windows and mirrors. Not a huge amount to report other than on the move and travelling which I love, not being at the behest of anything or anyone, no really fixed plans a few ideas and a few thoughts, but that’s about it. Permission to wander so to speak. I love some of the work of Emerson and also Thoreau. Emerson writes “ Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us, or we find it not. “ I try best to hold onto that as I go. Lovely if slightly later days people.
“ The traveler sees what he sees. The tourist sees what he has come to see.” G.K. Chesterton.
