This campervan morning it’s a wee bit dull and hazy. The colours have shifted away from the persistent blues to now being able to see clearly the greens of trees and forests and the greys of cliff faces. Swallows once more in the air, the cry of a peacock, clucking chickens and distant road traffic. A breeze blows up the lack with a wee edge to it, pushing along the wispiest of clouds. The air a less sultry and stifling and a little more cool. A lazy afternoon yesterday, cloud and boat watching, letting the day pass me bye and planning the next few days journey homeward. So not a huge amount to report. Just the opportunity to be with nowhere I need to be and nowhere I needed to go. As D H Lawrence once noted :
“ That’s the place to get to—nowhere. One wants to wander away from the world’s somewheres, into our own nowhere.”
It was a lovely way to be able to spend the day. The day turned into night and once more spent a few hours watching the most impressive electrical storms out to the east and west which soon made their way overhead and dumped the heaviest rain and hail I have encountered for some time. Resulting in very little sleep till well in the morning. Onwards and northwards. Lovely days people.
“ Don't go on discussing what a good person should be. Just be one.” Marcus Aurelius.
