Meeting People.

Another beautiful campervan morning here in Italy. A special day, check in number 950 and on a self care Sunday. Woke early, parked up overlooking a small organic vineyard and olive farm south of Lucca. Monte Pisanino towers above the mountain range far to the north west horizon, the range drifts into successive shades of darkening blue to the horizon. The cloud skates about above them, changing shape, height, thickening and then thinning, dancing the dance of warm and cold air. The distance feels boundary less and runs on and on. The wind ruffles the vines and blows gently through trees and bush. The scent of garlic on the air. Sounds of sparrow, cockerel and once again swallow are the soundtrack of the mornings musings. A blissful view and sound to awaken too. Church bells ring on the hour and now for the Sunday service.

This trip seems to be serendipitous at every turning, especially with people that I meet, it seems every location always introduces me to someone who I need to meet at the time I need to meet them. Emerson wrote :

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending some time with an amazing photographer and all round lovely man Stefano Lotumolo, ( Check out his instagram ) who has an exhibition ‘Inspired by the people ‘ in Lucca. The exhibition is a series of encounters with people from around the globe through imagery. Stefano is a man with a dream and a mission to connect the world, to connect people with people through imagery. He traveled the world, living with tribes, revolutionaries, insurgents, farmers, herders and holy men. His photos were exceptional the stories attached to them at times painful to read. It was a delight to meet with him and chat for a while. His vision to bring the world closer together and fight water poverty, through his passion. The author and educator Joan Erickson said that :

“ Vital lives are about action. You can't feel warmth unless you create it, can't feel delight until you play, can't know serendipity unless you risk. “

It’s funny the people that seem to consistently cross my path and with whom I engage and the messages they have. Lovely days people.

“ It is a courageous person who is able to identify his fears and work with them as forces for creativity and growth”. John O’Donohue.
