Love Yourself.

Dry and relatively warm this campervan morning. The cold appears to have been chased away. Pale grey sky and a firm breeze. A solitary gull overhead and the sounds of unseen crows and magpies. Not seen a starling or a blackbird for an age now ; songbirds seem to be restricted to robins and that is about it. An occasional chaffinch and blue tit, but not seen them for an age now either. Wondering if that means anything. The rumble of traffic, far off trains and planes overhead, the usual commuter cacophony to deal with. Almost mid point of November and the unseasonable warmth has returned. The ground now covered in a crust of browns, yellows and ochre leaves. A sense that the transformation to winter is underway. The shedding of leaves announcing a change and the return to the growth that is about to come. You can’t move on without shedding, you can’t grow without shedding, be it people, experiences or stuff. Reflecting on the shedding of years past. I need to shed some stuff at the moment, stuff that I am aware is holding me back. Stuff that I don’t need that needs to be got rid of to clear space for new growth. Shedding out dated patterns and learned behaviours. The shedding of old beliefs and outdated dogma. There is something to be said for shedding old selves so we can move on. So thoughts about shedding stuff and old selves this morning. Lovely days people.
