Intentions

Stillness this campervan morning. An almost imperceptible breeze puts a chill to the air. Darkness and heavy morning skies, thick cumulus cloud rolling eastwards overhead. A morning for the small birds, they dominate the songs, though remain unseen in the early light. The usual far off cockerel accompanies them, sitting alongside the purposeful drone of commuterism ( If there is such a word ). Strike day seems to have increased its volume somewhat. Feint sense of tiredness this morning. Reflecting on a conversation and discussion around intentions and intentionality yesterday. The intention behind thoughts, action and my sharing here. After all what you mean is what you get. Sharing my thoughts, parts of my life, work and the act of creativity. The energy that shifts intention to accomplishment. The overcoming of perfectionism and the acceptance and celebration of good enough. The erratic triumph over judgement. The admiration I have for the writers, poets, painters, musicians and photographers that populate my life. All of them, without there knowledge, supporting my own intentions. I read somewhere that intention without action is just wishful thinking. So an increased awareness this morning behind the intention of my thoughts and actions, both in the here and now and in my future directions. A somewhat more deliberate process of asking myself what is my intention here. Lovely days people.

“ Creativity is more than mere imagination. It is imagination inseparably coupled with both intent and effort.”

Alex Faickney Osborn.
