Heavy Luggage...

Grey and heavy is the cloud and the light this campervan morning. A chill in the air and a breeze to push it along. Chattering magpies in the Oak, along with a couple of huge crows. They are accompanied by creaking branches and swaying boughs. A slight pink tinge around the heavy cloud base, which is moving quite quickly. There is a sense in the air of rain to come, but I don’t think any is forecast. Once again mild for January. Gulls pass overhead making their presence known. A later start for me, but the roads seem quieter. Not a huge amount to report. The clearing away of Christmas ( Sadly ) the shaking off of the old year physically and mentally, planning for travels north, putting energy into the new. Pulling up the courage from some where as Sontag wrote yesterday. I came across this comment yesterday,

“ If you are heavy luggage, it does not matter where you go. You will still find the journey tedious”.

There is an excitement in the air of the year ahead, what it might bring and an energy that goes with it. Things to be uncovered and discovered, experiences and journeys to be had. People to meet and friends to make. Friendships to be refreshed and invested in and communities to build. Lovely days people.

“The way you see people is the way you treat them, and the way you treat them is what they become.”

Goethe
