Celebrating.

Updated: Dec 6, 2023

t’s a damp one already this campervan morning. The protection from the elements that the oak usually provides has diminished a little with the firm onset of autumn and the leaf fall that goes with it. Hence the rain, that would not normally be an issue, is being so, especially as it increase from drips to showers. The sound of a far off tawny owl, just made out over the newly falling rain, disappears as it turns into a persistent shower. A hint of a breeze shakes loose drops from branches. The sound of passing planes and occasional twinkling lights between clouds in the early morning sky. Monday morning rain greeting the start of the week. Nature appears to be relatively silenced, but for the rain, is sitting it out like the rest of us. Clothing becoming saturated means a retreat to the warmth of the van maybe on the cards. Light breaking though, but it’s watery and rainy dull, which appears to be the colour set for the morning. Suburbia in the rain seems to sum up October and November. A planned quiet day yesterday and here we are way too quickly at the start of the week. Though as the years advance the relevance of the day tends to fall away, which for me, is a good thing. Not a lot to report, the world going to hell in a hand basket, man’s inhumanity to man appears to know no boundaries and yet I work with people who carry on. Carry on to bring people and community together, carry on creating connection and humanity within people, carry on trying to be that positive example for society, carry on fighting injustice, racism, misogyny, intolerance and fascism, carry on lending a hand and supporting those less able and fortunate than ourselves. So this morning is greeting a new week celebrating my friends, my community and carrying on. Lovely days people.
